In 1992, Justice Stevens went to the Bar and he was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1997. Princes Street Chambers.
During his career he was also admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Australian Capital Territory and the States of Victoria and New South Wales and was also a barrister in Samoa and the Cook Islands. He was appointed to the High Court Bench in July 2006 and is based in Auckland.
