The National Business Review reported yesterday [22 May 2013] that Supreme Court Justice Robert Chambers died in his sleep.  He was 59 years old.

Chambers was one of the more active and intelligent judges and perhaps the most opinionated.  Auckland resident Chambers reportedly died at his Wellington home.

He is survived by children from his first marriage and his second wife Deborah Hollings-Chambers, a prominent divorce lawyer originally from west Auckland.
