| Background / Education: | Justice Robert Andrew Dobson QC has been appointed a Judge of the High Court, Attorney-General Michael Cullen announced today.Justice Dobson graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a LLB in 1971. He then joined and became a partner of the law firm Stone & Co (now known as Rudd Watts & Stone). Justice Dobson left the firm for the independent bar in 1990 and was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1998. Justice Dobson has been President of the New Zealand Bar Association (sic), a faculty member on the Law Society Litigation Skills and Advanced Litigation Skills As a barrister, Justice Dobson’s principal area of practice was commercial |
